I think that you would need to call the apple security team by phone in
order for your apple id to be deleted forever.
How can I delete an “Alternate ID?” It does not show an edit or delete
button and I cannot change my @me.com email address name.
now my apple account is hacked, what could i do? I am only scared on the
money i inserted using the itunes card
Apple ID sucks! Look! We want to be able to delete it, not just cripple it.
I thought that’s what this video was about; it’s apparently not. Change the
title of the video, please! If you create a new Apple ID by navigating to
the official website at appleid.apple.com you can’t use it to reinstall Mac
OS X on a second-hand, used Mac by grabbing the OS from the Internet.
Providing the new Apple ID credentials just returns a message saying that
the Apple ID has not been used yet with “App Store”. You can click Cancel
or Review. Clicking on Review doesn’t do a shit, it’s the same as Cancel.
It brings you back to the same page.
I had to use a second computer, to download and install iTunes, in order to
get to the iTunes Store (which includes the “App Store”). Logging into
iTunes for the first time, with the Apple ID I created on the Apple
website, a page with terms and conditions for the store was presented to
me. After accepting the terms, I was asked to provide credit card
information! Credit card information? For what?! For reinstalling Mac OS X
Mavericks on an iMac? Fuck you Apple! The now famous “None” option was not
presented to me. I later learned, by reading blogs, forums, and official
Apple Support help articles that this is a common, and accepted problem
with Apple ID. Namely, if you create a new Apple ID via the
appleid.apple.com website, and you log in with it in iTunes, you don’t get
the “None” option as payment method. Only if you create your new Apple ID
directly inside iTunes, only then will you be presented with the luxurious
“None” option.
Don’t take my words for it. Have a look at Apple KB article TS5366, and
HT2534. Here’s the URL for the latter: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
So I had to shit down on the first Apple ID I had created via the official
Apple ID website, and instead, create a new one; this time, I had to make
sure to create it inside iTunes. Why the terms and conditions of the
“iTunes Store” (and App Store) are not presented to you when you create a
new Apple ID on the website, or why there is no online version of the
“Store” (like with Google Play Store)… that’s completely absurd. I don’t
want to share credit card information just to be given the chance to do a
clean install of the Mac OS X operating system on a used Mac… do you? If
I at some point want to buy something in the “Store”, I want to be prompted
for payment method and to add credit card information. Just like with
Google! Why do I have to provide that information even if I don’t intend to
buy anything? I just wanted to reinstall Mac OS X that came with the
machine. That’s Apple for you folks!
For the record; at the end of the day, I had to rely on a working Windows 8
computer to download and install iTunes, and jerk around with this Apple ID
shit to get a proper “been used” Apple ID and accept the terms and
conditions of the “Store” and skip credit card information. I don’t even
know if the new Apple ID will be accepted by the iMac. I will find out next
week. I had to postpone it. I didn’t expect that reinstalling a Mac would
be such a painful and time consuming process. I even talked to the Apple
support people on the phone, and they couldn’t provide any real help. They
pretty much just confirmed my own thoughts and assumptions about how this
works. They said I had to create a new Apple ID, via iTunes this time, if I
wanted to skip the credit card shit. Same dialog, different options… just
because you take a different path to create the Apple ID. It’s so dumb! The
guy at Apple that I talked to suggested that I send feedback about this via
the Apple website. He said he had run into this problem himself, and he
felt the same way. So even Apple people are irritated over this. It’s
interesting how they haven’t solved it yet, for such a long time.
Thanks Man !!!!! +1 subscribe lol c’est troooop cooooooollllll!!!!!!
Is says Apple ID disabled what does that mean? And how to i fix??
